Ladder 1 arrived as first due truck this afternoon to the 300 block of N 14th Street for a 1-story commercial fire. This view is from Ladder 1’s tillerman.

The driver and officer worked to cut open a roll-up door for hose line access before making their way to the roof. Engine 3 operated as the second-due engine. C-Shift working.

Yesterday afternoon, Engine 3 responded to Box 902 as the RIT company on the initial alarm. A second alarm was struck to provide additional manpower due to fire extension through multiple void spaces. Ladder 1 responded on the second alarm; the Officer and driver proceeded to the roof to assist Ladder 3’s driver with completing vertical ventilation, while the tillerman split off to operate inside. Companies were on scene for around 2 hours before being released. C-shift working.

Engine 3 takes first due to another fire yesterday in the unit block of N Carroll St. Ladder 1 cleared up from training and arrived as second due truck. Crews were chasing fire in multiple void spaces throughout both homes and the fire eventually went 2 🔔🔔.
