🚨 Update 🚨

We’re excited to share that we are in the process of working with Bern Township to launch a paid daytime station staffing program! This new program will help us tackle the challenges we’ve faced as a volunteer fire department by putting firefighters in the station especially during daytime hours when staffing has been difficult. We are also working on a program to provide a stipend to those volunteers that are responding outside of the daytime hours and on weekends.

We want to thank everyone in the community for your continued support. The decline in volunteerism over the years has been tough, but we believe these programs are major steps in the right direction to ensure we can keep protecting our community when it matters most.

Together, we can make our community stronger and safer!

Keep an eye out on our page for updates as these programs come to life in the beginning of the new year. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!

We would like to thank all of our personnel and the other assisting companies that responded and assisted on yesterday’s early morning fire in the township!

We would like to formally address what we has been going on between our company and Bern Township Board of Supervisors.

Over the last several years, we have been faced with a decline in the number of volunteers. This is an issue all over the country, not just with our company. That being said there were concerns brought to our attention by the townships Board of Supervisors. We had been working with them to come up with resolutions and never came to a resolve for a number of reasons. The township supervisors were also concerned because of the upcoming ISO survey rating coming in 2025. Due to not coming to a resolution to increase manpower and provide better service to the township, the supervisors intended to decertify the company.

On Saturday morning a meeting was held in regard to their intentions. Thankfully the outcome of that meeting as resulting in the fire company receiving additional funding that will be used to put programs in place to increase our volunteer numbers and get more personnel on our responses and provide the service that you all deserve.

Again, we thank those that have supported us, past, present, and future.

πŸš¨πŸš’πŸš¨ NOTICE πŸš¨πŸš’πŸš¨

On behalf of the Officers and Members of the company we would like to thank everyone for their support at the Special Meeting held by the Bern Township Board of Supervisors.

Thankfully, they have decided to allow us to continue our operations and serve YOU the residents and business owners within the township.

With that being said we are on a time crunch to get some things into place by Monday afternoon and will need to postpone or potentially cancel this years Santa visit. We have spoken with Santa and he is willing to come back if and when we are again able to provide him with a township tour.

Again, we thank you all for your continued support and look forward to serving you. We wish you a safe and happy holiday season!
