The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office is assisting Louisiana Probation and Parole in locating William Hadley (DOB: 04/09/1985).

Louisiana Probation and Parole agents were conducting an offender check today while Hadley was performing construction work on Main Street in Mangham when he fled the area on foot.

Hadley is currently wanted for a Probation Violation and is on supervision for a conviction involving Cruelty to a Juvenile. He is believed to reside in Franklin Parish and may be in the surrounding area.

Residents in and around the Mangham area are encouraged to remain vigilant and use caution when checking sheds, barns, outbuildings, vehicles, or other structures on their property. If you notice anything suspicious or believe Hadley may be on your property, do not approach him. Contact law enforcement immediately.

Johnny Walker Road will be closed for the remainder of today for culvert repairs.

Please make sure to find an alternate route during this time.

DOTD announced that LA Highway 17 will be closed on Monday, June 15, 2026, for necessary roadway repairs.

The closure will be located south of the US 80/LA 17 intersection, approximately 75 feet south of the railroad crossing.

No through traffic will be permitted on LA 17 during the closure.

A signed detour route will be in place utilizing US 80, LA 609, and Interstate 20.

The roadway is expected to reopen on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes while repairs are being completed.

☎️Another record-high for 911 calls☎️

📈Richland Parish Emergency Call-Takers have received a record-breaking amount of 9-1-1 calls for 8 out of the past 12 months. Answering nearly 1,000 calls in May and over 4,700 this year, they are on track to set a new yearly record🔥

On top of answering 911 calls, the RPSO call-takers also answer non-emergency calls and dispatch. Staffed at 2 per 12-hour shift, their load is dramatically increasing❗️

💙We appreciate their hard work and energy put into every shift and are doing whatever we can to assist them

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Louisiana Boater Education Certificate.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1984, must possess a valid Louisiana Boater Education Certificate to operate a motorboat over 10 horsepower in Louisiana.

We are so saddened to announce that we must cancel our TRIAD “Day at the Lake” event once again due to the continued weather concerns.

After several attempts to reschedule, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event for this year. Our goal is always to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable day for our seniors, and unfortunately the weather has simply not cooperated with us this year.

We truly appreciate everyone’s understanding, support, and excitement for this event. We look forward to bringing “Day at the Lake” back bigger and better next year.

Beginning the evening of May 26th through May 29th, Kansas City Southern Railroad will be closing the railroad crossing at Hwy 609 and U.S. 80 in Dunn for roadway and railroad crossing repairs.

The railroad crossing at Hwy 183 and U.S. 80 in Holly Ridge is now open to traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time.
