Shepherd's Center of Raytown Keeping older adults connected and living well. Our capacity to serve is based on an extensive network of volunteers and financial supporters.

Shepherd’s Center of Raytown is part of a non-profit, interfaith, nationwide association of more than 60 centers with a common mission to empower men and women to serve older adults in the community. Shepherd Center volunteers:
• govern our organization
• organize and lead our programs and activities
• deliver our home-based services.

We are in desperate need of volunteer drivers for the Meals on Wheels (approx. 1/1.5 hr/week) and Wheels That Care(taking seniors to medical appointments, times vary) programs.

Have you ever wanted to help out within your community but didn't know how? Maybe you have just a little extra time to offer, but worry it's not enough to get involved.
Well, we always have volunteer opportunities available and some can be a one-time offering or can always be a regular schedule if you have the time! Group arrangements are possible too.
Call us at (816) 356-9000 for more information about how to become one of our very appreciated Shepherd's Center of Raytown volunteers. We have volunteers from all backgrounds that serve an array of purposes and are truly the backbone of the SCR.
