Second Update: Charlie was adopted as well!

Update: Catzilla has been adopted! Charlie is still available for adoption.

Charlie (the dog) and Catzilla (the cat, obviously) are both available for adoption and waiting for their new families. Let's help them find their way home!

Charlie is a medium-sized mixed breed with some great manners! He's housebroken and knows sit, shake, and lay down. He's good with most dogs, but he cannot go home with small dogs. As for cats, Charlie can tolerate them, but he'd really prefer to pretend they don't exist. Eye contact? Absolutely not. Friendship? Not interested. If you're looking for a dog who wants to be best friends with your feline family members, Charlie probably isn't your guy! In fact, getting this adorable picture was quite the challenge because Charlie kept trying to relocate to the other side of the room.

Catzilla is a spunky, affectionate kitten with plenty of love to give. He's been perfect with his litterbox here at the shelter and is comfortable around both dogs and other cats. He's even tried to convince Charlie to play with him, but Charlie has politely declined every invitation. Catzilla is ready to make friends; Charlie would prefer not to participate.

They don't need to go home together. They just need someone to give them a chance. Interested in adopting? Give us a call at 816-892-3053. If we can't answer, please leave a voicemail so we can get back to you.

Please share this post! The more people who see Charlie and Catzilla, the better their chances of finding their families. Let's get these two out of their cages and into homes where they belong!

Update: All transferred to Kansas City Pet Project.

We have several wonderful cats and kittens currently who are looking for homes.

Our shelter is currently at capacity, and with adoptions moving slowly, we are hoping to find families who can give these cats the homes they deserve. You can view more information about them by looking at the photo descriptions of each cat.

If you have been thinking about adding a cat or kitten to your family, please consider one of these wonderful animals. And if you aren't able to adopt, sharing this post can help us reach someone who can.

Interested in one of these cats? Please give us a call at 816-892-3053. If there is no answer, please leave a message, and we will return your call.
