🎓💙💛 Big news in Bearkat Country! We are so proud to celebrate 34 Raymondville Early College High School students who represented Raymondville ISD at the Texas Southmost College Graduation, with 24 earning Associate Degrees and 10 earning CNA Certificates! What an amazing accomplishment and a true example of hard work, dedication, and Bearkat pride. Find more details in this week’s The Bearkat Roar and help us congratulate our TSC graduates! 👏🎉

History has been made in Bearkat Country! 💙💛🎶

The Raymondville Bearkat Band has officially received the prestigious Sudler Shield from the John Philip Sousa Foundation, one of the highest international honors a high school marching band can receive!

This award recognizes outstanding marching bands that have demonstrated excellence in musical performance, marching technique, visual design, choreography, and overall artistry over several years. Even more incredible, Raymondville is now the first program in Rio Grande Valley history to receive this honor!

The official Sudler Shield presentation took place last night, May 21, 2026, during the Spring Bearkat Band Concert, with the plaque presented by Professor Emeritus Keith Bearden of Texas Tech University.

This historic recognition adds to an unforgettable year for the Bearkat Band and is a true testament to the talent, dedication, discipline, and heart of our students, directors, families, and community. Congratulations to the Raymondville Bearkat Band on this extraordinary achievement! 🎺🥁🏆

💙💛We are incredibly proud of Raymondville ISD students Fabian Reyes and Dulce Vargas for representing Raymondville ISD at the Region One School Board Association Conference in South Padre Island!

Fabian and Dulce participated in the Student Showcase/Panel, “Why Decisions Made in the Board Room Matter!” alongside students from San Isidro ISD, Lasara ISD, Mission CISD, Raymondville ISD, and Valley View ISD. The panel was moderated by journalist Macarena Hernandez and highlighted the powerful connection between board decisions and student outcomes.
Both students did an outstanding job sharing their experiences and perspectives as Raymondville ISD students. They spoke with confidence, authenticity, and Bearkat pride, truly reflecting the strength of our district and the incredible opportunities available to our students.

It was also wonderful to see our Raymondville ISD School Board members in attendance, continuing to grow and expand their knowledge through conference sessions focused on better serving our schools and community.

Moments like these remind us of the impact of strong student voices and dedicated leadership working together to shape the future of education.
