🚧 Public Works Scheduled Water Interruption Notice 🚧

Residents along S. 15th Street between Hidalgo Avenue and Gem Avenue and S. 16th Street between Rodeo Drive and Rodriguez Avenue should prepare for a scheduled water service interruption on Monday, July 20, 2026.

City crews will be replacing water lines, and service is expected to be interrupted from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to store enough water in advance for drinking, cooking and other household needs. Crews will work as efficiently as possible to restore service.

This morning, local leaders and community partners gathered for the HHSC Rural Healthcare Round Table Workshop to discuss state and federal funding opportunities that can help improve healthcare access in rural Texas communities.

Representing our community were State Representative Janie Lopez, Emergency Management Coordinator Frank Torres, Raymondville EDC Director Humberto Garza, Cheryl Sproles of Su Clinica, and Jessica Rodriguez from the Willacy County Judge’s Office.

These conversations are an important step toward identifying resources, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring our rural communities have access to the services and support they deserve.

The City of Raymondville is proud to have approved matching funds to help purchase the Raymondville Volunteer Fire Department’s new Dagger Raider 300 Brush Truck - the first of its kind in the Rio Grande Valley!

This grant-funded addition, made possible through the Texas A&M Forest Service, will strengthen our community’s ability to respond quickly to fires and emergency situations across the county.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated volunteers of the Raymondville Volunteer Fire Department, who selflessly serve not only the residents of Raymondville but communities throughout Willacy County. Their commitment, professionalism, and countless hours of service help keep us all safer.

This morning, the City of Raymondville was honored to welcome representatives from the Children’s Advocacy Center of Cameron & Willacy Counties (CACCWC) for a special presentation and tour of Jesse’s House, the organization’s Willacy County branch located within Raymondville City Hall.

During the visit, Willacy County Judge Aurelio Guerra, members of the Commissioners Court, and local officials learned more about the Children’s Advocacy Center’s mission to provide a safe, child-focused environment for children and families navigating difficult circumstances. The tour highlighted the center’s multidisciplinary approach, including forensic interviewing, family advocacy, therapy services, and coordinated care designed to support children on their path to healing.

The presentation also showcased new equipment purchased through Unclaimed Capital Credit Funds. These funds are allocated by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts from unclaimed electric cooperative capital credits and may be requested by counties for qualifying public benefit projects, including support for children’s advocacy centers.

Through the support of Willacy County leadership, these funds have helped modernize services at Jesse’s House, enhancing the facility and strengthening the resources available to children and families in our community.

Since its establishment, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Cameron & Willacy Counties has conducted more than 20,000 forensic interviews involving children from Willacy County, providing compassionate, coordinated services while helping protect some of our community’s most vulnerable residents.

The City of Raymondville is proud to partner with organizations like the Children’s Advocacy Center and remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life for our residents and strengthen our community for generations to come.

🇺🇸 What an incredible Fourth of July celebration in Raymondville!

From the presentation of the colors by VFW Post 6719 to the contests, car show, patriotic pet show, local vendors, family activities, and smiling faces throughout Eddie Stark Park, our community came together to celebrate America’s 250th Independence Day in the best way possible!

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, participated, and helped make this event such a success. A special thank you goes out to our vendors, community organizations, sponsors, contest participants, performers, the Raymondville Chamber of Commerce, city staff, public safety personnel, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this celebration possible.

Seeing families, friends, and neighbors enjoying the afternoon reminds us what makes Raymondville such a special place to call home.

What an incredible Fourth of July celebration! 🇺🇸🎆

From the smiles and laughter to the food, activities, and time spent together, Eddie Stark Park has been filled with community spirit all afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and helped make today’s festivities so special.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, and to our amazing community for joining the City of Raymondville and the Raymondville Chamber of Commerce as we celebrated Independence Day together.

The celebration isn’t over just yet! Join us at Veterans Park to wrap up the evening with our annual fireworks spectacular, beginning at approximately 9:00 PM.

As you make your way to the park, please:
🇺🇸 Drive slowly and watch for pedestrians.
🇺🇸 Do not block driveways or roadways.
