The response to 2ILLXCUTS’ free back-to-school haircuts for kids in need has been incredible! Thank you to everyone who has shared the post, helped spread the word, and scheduled an appointment.

Because of the overwhelming response, Nate, another barber at 2ILLXCUTS, will be joining Dylan to help provide haircuts so they can serve as many kids as possible! 👏

📅 Appointments will be accepted through Wednesday, August 19th.

Spots are filling quickly, so families who are interested are encouraged to book as soon as possible!

Ravennas 250th Celebration was a hit! Thank you to everyone who gave their time, talents and efforts to make it special. The volunteers working behind the scenes put so many hours in. It was such a nice wholesome event for the whole family.

🚨 Community Advisory 🚨

If you notice an increased law enforcement presence tomorrow morning, don't be alarmed.
On Wednesday, July 1, from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 9:30 a.m., the Ravenna Police Department and several of our public safety partners will be conducting a multi-agency active shooter training exercise in the 6000 block of N. Chestnut St.

During this time, you may see numerous police vehicles in the area. This is only a training exercise. There is NO emergency and no threat to the public.

Training like this allows our first responders to practice working together in a realistic environment so we're prepared to respond effectively if a critical incident ever occurs.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work to keep our community safe.

Attention Ravenna Township residents. I'd like to take a moment to address the elephant in the room, DATA CENTERS. Your Ravenna Township Trustees and Zoning Department have been following data centers closely, much longer than just during this week's recent events within the City of Ravenna.
I personally have been to Columbus to listen & learn months ago regarding data centers. I have been to multiple Regional Planning meetings within Portage County, where leaders of the community have spent time listening, learning, educating and working together on this issue.
Our NUMBER ONE GOAL is working for our residents within the township. We represent YOU.
We are actively and diligently researching. How do they affect our community? Will they strain our resources? Can they cause harm to our residents? Will they harm our wildlife? How does our Fire station train for the centers? These are just a few. I can assure you, your Ravenna Township Trustees are working hard to make educated, informed decisions for the good of Ravenna Township. I commend the City of Ravenna for doing the research, and acting.
We live here, and work here, alongside you. We want the best for our community. I just wanted to take a moment to let Ravenna Township know we are and have been, being proactive regarding this issue, and are working hard to make decisions that protect the best interests of the residents of Ravenna Township.
