Are you looking for a way to be notified of maybe a road closure, watermain break near your home, water being shut off at your home due to a repair that the city needs to make, or maybe report an issue to the city that you have seen? The city has a new app available for you to do that. All you have to do is scan the QR code in the picture or download it from the Apple Store/Google Play and set up an account.

Technology has become such an intricate part of our lives, and the city is trying to make every effort to reach its residents when an emergency arises, or for a resident to contact the city about an issue. We will still handle our processes the same as we have in the past, but we would like to provide our residents with up-to-date information as fast as we can if a situation arises, and the city feels that this program will help accomplish that in a better manner.

The city has been made aware that there are some folks going door to door offering services through NRG Energy and stating that the city is sending them to the City of Ravenna residents. The city will never send someone to your door for any type of soliciting. The folks that are out there soliciting to you do NOT have a permit to be soliciting. There is only 1 person who is allowed to be soliciting here in the city, and his name is Mekhi Baker, and he is with Direct Energy - NRG (also known as just NRG). His permit will expire on 8/13/2026.

The city urges anyone unsure or uncomfortable to please call City Hall during normal business hours, M-F 7:30am - Noon; 1-4pm, and speak to someone there with the Service Director's office. That phone number is (330) 296-6326. If you are unable to call during normal business hours, please call the police department and report them. Their non-emergency phone number is (330) 296-6486.

We also urge you not to show either of your utility bills to them, as they only need to get a hold of your account number, and they have been known to switch you without your knowledge.
