Significant Wildland Fire Potential Outlook

The latest outlook shows elevated wildfire potential expanding across parts of the Southern Plains and Southeast as we transition from winter into early spring 2026.

Dry fuels, lingering drought conditions, and seasonal weather patterns will all play a major role — pointing toward a potentially active start to the year in these regions.

Which state do you think sees the first significant fire activity?
