Road Construction:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Fisher Sand and Gravel are scheduled to resume roadway construction in Angel Fire beginning the first week of June, from Mile Marker 272.5 to Mile Marker 276.09 on U.S. 64 through the pass.

Travelers can expect the following:

• Single lane closures with flagging and/or pilot car operations during construction hours
• Delays resulting in longer travel times
• Road closure for up to five hours during at least two construction days

Dates for the road closures are pending and contingent on weather. Fisher Sand & Gravel and NMDOT will provide the public with dates as soon as they are confirmed. Fisher Sand & Gravel and NMDOT thank the public for their patience and cooperation throughout the duration of this project.

NOTICE OF VOTER REGISTRATION

The Voter Registration Books close May 5, 2026, at 5:30 P.M. for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election. Anyone who is NOT presently registered and wishes to vote in this election may register at NMvote.org or at the County Clerk’s Office, 333 Savage Ave., Raton, New Mexico. The office hours are 7:00 A.M. until 5:30 P.M., Monday through Thursday. You may also register at any Municipal Office.

AGAIN, IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN THE 2026 PRIMARY ELECTION YOU MUST BE REGISTERED BY
May 5, 2026.
