DUI Arrest: Rathdrum Police Officers arrested a motorcyclist for Driving While Impaired after observing the rider traveling over 10 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. The rider's breath alcohol concentration was over the legal limit. Impaired driving and excessive speed are a dangerous combination that puts everyone on the road at risk. Drive sober and ride responsibly.

Last night, officers with the Rathdrum Police arrested an intoxicated juvenile male for Driving Under the Influence after he was found operating a vehicle with a breath alcohol concentration measuring approximately seven times the legal limit for a driver under 21.

This incident serves as a serious reminder of the dangers of impaired driving, especially involving underage drivers. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the outcome could have easily been tragic for the driver, passengers, or other motorists on the roadway.

The Rathdrum Police remains committed to keeping our community safe through proactive law enforcement. If you choose to drink, do not drive. Arrange a safe ride, call a friend, or use a rideshare service. One poor decision can change lives forever.

The Rathdrum Police Department assisted Northern Lakes Fire District with traffic control during a critical patient evacuation on Rathdrum Mountain earlier today. Due to the severity of the situation, Life Flight Network was requested and responded to safely transport the patient for advanced medical care.
