Lakeland Joint School District was honored to attend yesterday's celebration of the Timberlake Community Field House, a project built on something far more powerful than concrete and steel. It is a project built on love.
For the past three and a half years, Timberlake High School Principal Ryne Eberlin has worked tirelessly to turn a dream into reality. During his nine years as principal, Ryne has developed a deep love for Timberlake High School, its students, and the communities of Athol, Spirit Lake, and Bayview that have supported the school through the years. The Timberlake Community Field House is a reflection of that relationship and a testament to what can happen when a community rallies around a shared vision.
We are incredibly proud of Ryne and grateful to the many donors, businesses, organizations, and community members who have helped make Phase 1 possible. This project is being funded entirely through private donations, demonstrating the generosity of a community that believes in its students.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Silverwood Theme Park, Jordan and Amy Redman, Idaho Central Credit Union, and the Coeur d'Alene Tribe for their generous support of this project. Their contributions, along with those of many other donors, have helped transform a dream into a reality for Timberlake students and the greater community.
The Timberlake Community Field House will serve both Timberlake students and the greater Timberlake community. It is truly intended for the students, families, and residents of Athol, Bayview, and Spirit Lake. The facility will provide a year-round space where students can practice, compete, and build skills while also creating opportunities for families, retirees, athletes, and community groups to gather, stay active, and connect.
As Phase 1 moves forward, fundraising efforts are underway for the remaining phases. Phase 2 will add restrooms and storage space, while Phase 3 will complete the facility with dedicated parking and sports flooring, creating a fully functional turnkey community resource.
Congratulations to Ryne, Timberlake High School, and everyone who has helped make this dream a reality. Thank you to every donor whose generosity has brought the project this far. If you would like to help support this amazing project, please contact Ryne Eberlin at [email protected].
The Timberlake Community Field House is more than a building. It is a reflection of love for Timberlake High School and its students, the love the communities of Athol, Bayview, and Spirit Lake have shown the school throughout the years, and what can happen when people come together to invest in the future of their children and their community.
