Happy World Pilot Day! While they are highlighted today, we truly appreciate our pilots 24/7/365 and recognize the hours, days, and weeks they dedicate to serving others. Today, we celebrate the extraordinary pilots who make our lifesaving missions possible. Every flight begins with their expertise, from meticulous safety checks on the ground to confident navigation in the skies. Whether flying rotor wing or fixed wing aircraft, they help ensure every patient transport is completed safely and every crew member makes it home. Their skill and dedication are the foundation of the care we provide across the country. To all our pilots, thank you for your service, your commitment, and for being an essential part of the Air Methods family.

Today we were invited to attend the 20th Anniversary celebration for Freshman Impact at Crazy Horse

The first Freshman Impact was in Wall in 2006. Since then, it has expanded to include 60 schools across the state of South Dakota. The program now consists of learning stations, a party slot, a mock crash, a mock funeral and prosecution.

We are honored to have partnered with the C.O.R.E program and Freshman Impact since it began.

A few things that brighten our crews mornings: a beautiful flight in western South Dakota, teaching about helicopter EMS, and a tasty local coffee shop. BHLF4 started their day out right with all three at the Rural School Day in Union Center!
