**ELECTION DAY**
OFFICIALS ANNOUNCE ACCESS TO SHERIDAN LAKE ROAD VOTING LOCATION WILL BE MAINTAINED ON ELECTION DAY
RAPID CITY, SD—City officials have issued the following public service announcement regarding traffic flow in the Sheridan Lake Road Reconstruction Project area next Tuesday (Election Day) for drivers wishing access to the polling location at Calvary Lutheran Church:
Access will be maintained for people traveling to Calvary Lutheran Church to vote next Tuesday, November 5. On October 27, traffic was switched over to the new pavement providing easier access for traffic, including drivers wishing to enter and exit the church parking lot. Full traffic movements are accommodated at the Catron Boulevard, Wildwood Drive, Sunshine Trail, Chateaux Ridge, Vista Hills, Corral Drive, and south Summerset Drive intersections.
Reede Construction, the contractor for the Sheridan Lake Road Reconstruction Project, is fully aware of Calvary Lutheran Church as a location for polling on Election Day and efforts will be taken to minimize as much as possible the impacts to voters and drivers coming in and out of this location. Due to the construction and anticipated heavy voter turnout, drivers are encouraged to use the southbound lane for entering and exiting the church polling location to limit the amount of cross traffic and to minimize traffic backups and delays.
Drivers are advised to always use caution when driving through the construction project area and to allow extra time to reach destinations, including the voting location at Calvary Lutheran Church.
