In addition to our work conserving and restoring forest ecosystems, N-Hance also strives to reduce air pollution. We do this by limiting wood dust and VOCs, the two biggest sources of air pollution on traditional refinishing projects.

Traditional refinishing relies on sanding, which produces large volumes of hazardous wood dust. But with N-Hance, most surfaces can be refinished with zero sanding. When sanding is necessary, our dust containment system ensures a virtually dust-free experience.

To further reduce indoor air pollution, we exclusively use water-based polyurethane finishes. Oil based finishes contain high levels of VOCs, causing them to generate toxic and foul-smelling fumes. Our finishes contain low levels of VOCs, making them virtually odorless and safe for indoor use.

We are working on the floors for Pour 54, coming soon to downtown Rapid City!

A little back story on this building we are working on during the '80s this building caught on fire the black spots are the aftermath of the fire that took place. We will be able to refinish this floor, using our Hammered Floor Refinishing Service.

The Hammered Floor Renewal is for a rougher floor with grey to black traffic areas that have been worn down to the bare wood. The finish may be intact along the perimeter of the room, but the center of the floor is completely worn. Deep impressions and cross-grain scratches are visible due to large dogs, children, or moving furniture around, such as a piano or refrigerator. Water damage may be present on this type of floor and separations between the boards run throughout the entire wood surface.
