Lincoln's Challenge Academy

Lincoln's Challenge Academy LCA is a cost-free life skills and education program for Illinois youth 15 1/2 to 18 years of age. The academy is a voluntary program.

Cadets have the opportunity to earn their GED or recover credits. They learn positive habits and develop life skills necessary to be successful, and responsible citizens. LCA uses a holistic approach to help Cadets become responsible and productive members of their communities. Cadets learn positive values and skills to use in everyday life. Cadets are not court-ordered or placed in the program. I

The habits you build, the people you listen to, the effort you give — they all shape the direction of your life. Your future is not something that just happens to you. It is built, one decision at a time.

At LCA, challenges are opportunities to build strength, learn resilience, and discover what you’re capable of. Growth doesn’t happen when things are easy—it happens when you keep going.

Face it. Learn from it. Grow stronger.
