Today, the Ranson Police Department was proud to participate in the City of Ranson’s annual Mayor for the Day program in partnership with Ranson Elementary School.

Chief Cisar had the opportunity to spend time with this year’s Mayor for the Day, Keira Hayes, and share more about the role of the Police Department in serving and protecting the community. During her visit, Keira toured department facilities, explored one of our new police cruisers, and learned more about the responsibilities of law enforcement and public service.

We appreciate Keira’s thoughtful ideas for improving the community and congratulate her on being selected as this year’s winner.

You may notice a new police cruiser design rolling out in the City of Ranson.

The updated design improves visibility, makes vehicles easier to identify, and creates a consistent, professional appearance across the department.

This change is being implemented as part of our normal vehicle replacement cycle; there is no additional cost beyond what is already budgeted for fleet maintenance.

As always, our priority is maintaining a professional, effective police department focused on safety and service.
