The library will be closed today February 1st from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. We will be open Saturday morning, so stop in!

So many fun memories made at the library over the past few months! Sidewalk chalk and fall flowers, pumpkin painting and a book, bake sale in September, Fall event in October, Thanksgiving meal and crafts in November and Christmas event & caroling in December! Cookie the elf visited the library again this year, and the kids made snowflakes, magic watercolor Christmas cards and decorated the tree. We have started air dry foam clay for open play at the library as well. Thank you for all who have come despite the cold weather, and and nights of noisiness! So many donations have been made to keep these events possible. We didn't take nearly enough pictures to capture everyone who has attended, but picked a few that we do have to share. Thank you for always supporting the library and our community! (If you have any pictures from the Library Friendsgiving that you would like to share, please let me know, as I didn't get one photo!)

We will be having our library kids "Friendsgiving" at the community building from 4:30 - 6:00 on Tuesday, November 21st. We will play Bingo, a few games and have a simple Thanksgiving meal. Please let me know if you are planning to attend! Any adults who would like to supplement the meal for the kids, I will be in need of boxes of stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes (boxed is fine), butter, and apple juice. If you are feeling extra generous and you would like to make a pie for our meal, that would be great as well. I will be finishing up gathering supplies Sunday the 19th, so if you could try to let me know if you would like to supply any of the things listed above before then, that would be helpful. Thank you always for supporting our community and giving the kids wonderful memories!

We will be painting full sized pumpkins today and Tuesday, October 24th, at the library. The pumpkins will be displayed next Saturday at the Harvest Event where each pumpkin will have a penny bucket to compete for best pumpkin per age bracket! Thank you to Dennis and Julie James of Tabor for the generous pumpkin donation! All ages welcome!

We have had a great month at the library and a wonderful few months! We have wrapped up our 2023 Summer Reading Program weekly days. We had a great turn out this summer! Thank you for so much support. Thank you to Fire Chief Aistrope for showing the kids around the fire station, Sarah Ford for making our medical day wonderful, and Raptor Recovery for a great animal discovery program. Lots of learning and playing! Also, have had great regular attendance for library hours and in-house activities with our watercolor activities, new interactive children's area, flower bed upkeep, summer BINGO, and lots of games and scavenger hunts! Thank you, also, to Nicole Vanatta for several hours spent prior to summer helping towards our long term goals of automation for the library!

For those who weren't at our Summer Reading Program last Thursday for announcement, we will not be having a program today, August 3rd. Our Summer Reading Program final closing party will be August 10th! We will be having a pizza pool party being at 6:00 p.m. at the Malvern Pool / Park. We will close with reading prizes earned for returned reading logs though the summer, and have reserved the Malvern Swimming Pool from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Please RSVP at the library this week! We have had a great summer and appreciate the very generous donations that made such a wonderful program possible! All ages / Randolph Library patrons families and program attendees welcome!

I am excited to share that the library is being awarded the Governors STEM Discovery Drone education grant. Part of the requirement to recieve the grant is a two day training, so I will be unavailable Thursday Aug 3rd, and Friday August 4th. The library will be closed today, but as always, reach out if you need something and I will try to get it to you!
