💙 Today is Say Hi Day 💙

Last week, Randolph Township employees proudly recognized Say Hi Day — and today, June 11, is the official ‘Say Hi’ Day.

The Say Hi Foundation was founded in 2019 in loving memory of Joseph Anthony Cinotti, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15. Joseph’s life was filled with love, laughter, and joy. Though he had special needs, that never defined him. He was known for his bright smile, his kind heart, and his favorite phrase — “Say Hi.”

Joseph greeted everyone he met with warmth and enthusiasm, reminding us that the little moments matter most and that kindness costs nothing. His spirit became the inspiration behind the Say Hi Foundation, which works to improve the lives of children and young adults with special needs in our community.

Today’s message is simple but powerful:
Say Hi. Be kind. Include everyone.

Let’s continue honoring Joseph’s legacy by building a Randolph community rooted in compassion, awareness, and inclusion. 💙

Randolph was proud to celebrate community, culture, and tradition at the Annual Big Greek Festival hosted by Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church.

Mayor Mark Forstenhausler, Deputy Mayor Lou Nisivoccia, and Councilmembers Christine Carey, Joe Hathaway, and Thornton joined Assemblywoman Aura Dunn, Assemblyman Christian Barranco, Senator Anthony Bucco, and Father John Theodosion for this beloved community event.

The Big Greek Festival brings residents and visitors together for Greek food, music, dancing, church tours, entertainment, and family-friendly fun right here in Randolph. Thank you to Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church and all of the volunteers who help make this celebration such a special tradition for our community!

🐝🌼 Randolph is a Bee City! 🌼🐝

Did you know that more than 90% of New Jersey’s native plants rely on pollinators like bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects? Unfortunately, habitat loss and pesticide use have contributed to significant declines in pollinator populations.

As a proud Bee City USA affiliate, Randolph is committed to protecting and supporting pollinators that play a vital role in our local ecosystem. But protecting pollinators isn't just a municipal effort—it’s something we can all do together!

Here are a few simple ways you can help:
🌸 Plant native flowers and plants
🚫 Reduce or avoid unnecessary pesticide use
🌿 Support and preserve pollinator habitats

Small actions can make a big difference for the pollinators that help our gardens, parks, and natural spaces thrive.

Learn more about what being a Bee City means to Randolph and how you can help support a healthier environment for future generations. 🐝💛

✨ Celebrating a remarkable legacy of leadership and education! ✨

Mayor Mark Forstenhausler and Council Member Joe Hathaway were honored to attend the Gottesman RTW Academy Gala, where they presented a Township Proclamation recognizing the retirement of Head of School Dr. Moshe Vaknin and celebrating the Academy's 60 years of educational excellence in Morris County. The proclamation recognized Dr. Vaknin's two decades of dedicated leadership, service, and commitment to strengthening the institution and inspiring generations of students, families, and faculty.

A special moment of the evening was seeing Randolph Township's proclamation displayed alongside a letter of congratulations from Governor Mikie Sherrill, highlighting the profound impact Dr. Vaknin has made on the Academy and the broader community.

Congratulations to Dr. Vaknin on an extraordinary career, and best wishes on his well-deserved retirement. 🎉📚

🦅 Congratulations to Randolph's newest Eagle Scout!

This past week, Mayor Mark H. Forstenhausler, an Eagle Scout himself, had the honor of welcoming Cassiopeia Torres of Troops 109 and 901 into the distinguished ranks of Eagle Scouts during her Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony.

Cassiopeia earned scouting's highest achievement through years of dedication, leadership, and service. For her Eagle Scout project, she partnered with EDGE New Jersey to transform and reorganize a critical supply storage space, more than doubling its storage capacity and improving its functionality for community support efforts. With the help of volunteers, Cassiopeia coordinated over 140 hours of work, demonstrating the leadership, creativity, and commitment that define the very best of Scouting.

On behalf of the Township Council and the entire Randolph community, we congratulate Eagle Scout Cassiopeia Torres on this remarkable accomplishment and thank her for making a lasting impact on our community. 👏
