We have been seeing many children/teens on electric scooters who are driving recklessly and endangering themselves and others: not obeying stop signs, bolting out in front of cars, not wearing a helmet, wearing earbuds and not paying attention to their surroundings, etc. If your children use an electric scooter, please talk with them about operating safely and respecting the rules of the roadway.

Of course, this applies to bicyclists also, but electric scooters have the ability to go much faster, and more speed often means more risks. We want everyone to have a SAFE and happy summer!

This week was Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin and ironically, most of the state has been experiencing some wild weather. A Tornado Watch has already been issued for the area until 8pm. Be prepared in the event a warning is issued and seek shelter immediately.

And if you sometimes forget the difference between a "watch" and a "warning", just think of tacos.

We took a report from a resident in town who received a phone call from someone soliciting donations for the Randolph Police Department. THIS IS NOT US. This is a scammer.

The street department is reporting that grass clippings are still being deposited into the streets around town. This is especially problematic with all of the recent rain. We do not want to have to issue citations for this. We love a well-maintained yard as much as anyone, but please be mindful of where you are leaving your yard waste.

It's April 1st! That means the Village winter parking ordinance is no longer in effect.

And even though it still feels like winter, spring yard work is starting around town. Please remember that grass clippings and other yard waste may not be deposited in the gutters or roadway. The compost site on W. Stroud St. is available for use.
