Today, Randle Fire & EMS was again honored to provide standby support for the Lewis County PUD Annual Kids Fishing Derby.

Events like these are about so much more than fishing. They're about creating memories that last a lifetime, watching a child catch their first fish, seeing families spend quality time together outdoors, and bringing our community together for a day filled with smiles, laughter, and fun.. Rain or Shine!

As first responders, we are proud to serve our community not only during emergencies but also by supporting events that strengthen the connections between neighbors, families, and local organizations. Building relationships and being present at community events is an important part of who we are and what we do.

A huge thank you to Lewis County PUD, the volunteers, organizers, and families who make this event possible every year. We look forward to supporting this great event for many years to come.

If you attended the derby, we'd love to see your favorite photos and hear about your child's biggest catch!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of longtime member and former Commissioner, Frank Kittock.

Frank dedicated 52 years of service to our department and community. A proud graduate of White Pass High School (Class of 1973), he gave countless hours to helping others and strengthening the bonds that make our community so special. He will be remembered not only for his commitment and reliability, but also for his stories, his humor, and the way he brought people together.

Frank’s legacy will live on in the department he helped shape and in the lives he touched along the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 30th, 2026 @ 12:00PM at Reconciled Christian Fellowship (130 Morris Rd, Randle).
A potluck will follow at the Randle Fire Station (9978 US Hwy 12, Randle).

Please join us in honoring Frank’s life, service, and memory.

PRESS RELEASE: Today at approximately 00:37 Randle Fire & EMS was dispatched to reported injury fire. Volunteer crews responded and on arrival found the scene to be unstable due to rapid venting of an involved 250 gallon propane tank with recreational vehicle involvement and slow spread to vegetation. A14-1 initiated an emergency extraction of the patient who was located beyond the immediate hazard with limited access due to heavy fire involvement. Our Volunteers immediately transported and treated a seriously burned person to meet an awaiting helicopter for transport to a regional specialty center. Remaining Randle Fire & EMS crews with the assistance of Packwood Fire brought the fire under control. First hand reports suggest that a propane gas leak on a smaller 5 gallon tank and an unspecified electrical ignition source produced a rapid and violent combustion of gas then spreading to a recreational vehicle; however, the fire remains under investigation at this time. Thank you to all of our responding Volunteer Firefighters on this call and to Packwood Fire for the extra hands and additional water supply.

Today, a few of our incredible volunteers and Fire Chief took time out of their day to give back in a powerful way, by donating blood at the Red Cross drive held at White Pass High School.
Serving our community doesn’t stop when the pager goes quiet. Whether it’s responding to emergencies or stepping up to help ensure lifesaving blood is available for those in need- especially during a national shortage, our members are always looking for ways to make a difference!
We’re proud of their continued commitment to helping others both on and off duty. 🙌🏼

If you’re able, consider donating blood at an upcoming drive. One donation can make a life-saving impact.

Yesterday at approximately 05:45, Randle Fire & EMS was dispatched to a fully involved structure fire in the 7800 block of U.S. Highway 12, Glenoma. We responded with Districts 18, 4, and 9.

We provided 12 personnel, including a fully staffed Engine Company, Tender, Aid Unit, and District Chaplain. Arriving third due, Randle volunteers assisted with fire suppression efforts. Engine 14-1 performed a 'blind alley' supply hose lay and managed a continuous water supply operation from the highway while T14-1 was integrated into a water shuttle operation. A14-1 staged for any medical needs during operations.

We remained on scene until approximately 11:02 when overhaul was determined manageable by units on scene. We were thankful to arrive home safely to a waiting and much needed breakfast thoughtfully prepared by our remaining staff at the station. Thank you to our volunteers and their employers for a respectable turnout during the middle of a work week.
