Back in 1989, the Lloyd W. Michael Water Treatment Plant began its mission of providing safe, reliable drinking water to our community. Since then, technology has advanced, our region has grown, and our commitment to water quality has remained as strong as ever.

💧Tip Tuesday: Why Does My Tap Water Look Cloudy?

Ever pour a glass of water and notice it looks milky or cloudy? Don't panic, it may simply be tiny air bubbles trapped in the water.🫧

As water travels through pipes, changes in pressure can cause tiny air bubbles to form. When you pour a glass, those bubbles begin rising to the surface, causing the water to clear from the bottom up within a minute or two.

💡 Try this: Fill a clear glass with cloudy water and set it on the counter. If it clears from the bottom upward, you're likely seeing harmless air bubbles escaping.

What an incredible day! 💧🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Open House & Water Fair! With more than 1,200 attendees, it was our most well-attended Open House ever.

From interactive exhibits and educational displays to water conservation resources, demonstrations, and family-friendly activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We loved having the opportunity to connect with our community and share more about the work we do to provide safe and reliable water service every day.

A huge thank you to our employees, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. We can’t wait to see you again next year!💙💧
