Since our founding, the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District has built a strong reputation for serving the residents of Rancho cucamonga. From fire suppression and emergency medical services, to our emphasis on integrated risk reduction through emergency preparedness, prevention and safety education, the District has always worked diligently to meet the changing needs of our community.

Join us this Friday, September 11, as we come together to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. This ceremony is open to the public, and all members of our community are invited to attend.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 lives were lost in New York City, Arlington, Virginia, and near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. We gather to honor those who lost their lives, recognize the courage and sacrifice of our first responders, and ensure their memory is never forgotten.

The City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Spagnolo 9/11 Memorial Park incorporates artifacts from all three crash sites and provides a meaningful place for our community to remember, reflect, and pay tribute.

The City of Rancho Cucamonga has officially been designated a HEARTSafe Community, recognizing our community’s commitment to improving survival from sudden cardiac arrest.

This designation reflects a collaborative effort between the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District, first responders, healthcare professionals, schools, local government, businesses, and most importantly our residents.

More than 46,000 Rancho Cucamonga residents have been trained in CPR and lifesaving skills, representing more than 26% of our community.

With just over 600 communities nationwide having earned the HEARTSafe designation, this recognition highlights Rancho Cucamonga’s continued dedication to creating a community that is prepared, empowered, and ready to act when every second counts.

🇺🇸 Welcome Home, Master Sergeant Jesse Rodriguez

After a seven-month deployment in support of Marine Rotational Force–Darwin and the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Master Sergeant Jesse Rodriguez has returned home.

With 19 years of service, Jesse serves as an Operations Chief, helping lead the planning and coordination of numerous military exercises and operations.

Jesse is married to RCFD Firefighter/Paramedic Janae Rampone, and with a little help from Rancho Cucamonga Fire crews, he was able to give Janae a surprise she’ll never forget.

We’re proud to welcome Jesse home and thank him for his continued service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸❤️

CERT Basic Training is a FREE course that teaches you how to prepare yourself, your family, and your neighborhood for a disaster or emergency. It is a 20-hour hands-on training program taught by first responder personnel and subject matter experts.

This weekend going into next week, temperatures are expected to reach over 100 degrees in our area.

Exposure to dangerously hot conditions can cause heat related illnesses, it is important to remain cautious during elevated temperatures!

* Limit outdoor activities

INCIDENT UPDATE | STRUCTURE FIRE
8/21/2026 at 9:32 a.m.

Rancho Cucamonga Fire District crews responded to a working structure fire near Shadow Brook Drive and Golden Oak Road.

Upon arrival, crews found a garage heavily involved in fire. Firefighters initiated an offensive attack and achieved a quick knockdown, preventing the fire from extending into the home.

The fire remains under investigation.
