At The Root 66 Garden, we believe learning starts with connection, to the earth, to food, and to each other 🌱
We’re proud to offer programs for all ages that bring hands-on experiences and meaningful learning to life:
🌿 Root 66 Rangers (Ages 6–12)
Our kids agricultural education program where young learners dig into gardening, discover where food comes from, and build confidence through outdoor, hands-on experiences.
🌻 Field Trips, Returning to Our Roots (All Ages)
A guided, immersive visit to the garden designed for schools, families, and groups. Participants explore sustainable growing, meet our animals, and reconnect with the simple, powerful roots of nature and food.
🌱 Kids Korner Volunteer Program (All Ages, Parent Participation)
A family-centered volunteer experience where kids and parents work side by side in the garden, learning responsibility, teamwork, and the joy of giving back to their community.
🥕 FoodShare Educational Co-op (All Ages, Family Program)
A unique participation-based program where families contribute time in the garden in exchange for fresh, organically grown food, while learning sustainable practices, food systems, and healthy living together.
Every program is designed to inspire curiosity, build life skills, and create lasting connections, not just to the garden, but to each other.
Come grow with us 💚
