When firefighters hook up, your hydrant better keep up.

Fire hydrant testing is required by code and ensures your system can deliver the water flow and pressure needed during an emergency.

During testing, we:
✔️ Measure flow rates (GPM) to confirm adequate supply
✔️ Check pressure levels to ensure consistent performance
✔️ Inspect for leaks, damage, or hidden issues
✔️ Verify the hydrant is fully operational and accessible

Why does it matter? Firefighters depend on hydrants to perform instantly. If pressure is too low or flow is restricted, it can slow response efforts and reduce effectiveness on scene.

Routine testing helps:
💧 Identify problems before they become emergencies
💧 Keep your property compliant with fire codes
💧 Ensure reliable performance when it counts

🚨 BEFORE & AFTER 🚨

The backflow meter and bypass for this fire sprinkler system were stolen.

The backflow assembly plays a critical role in keeping your fire protection system safe and up to code. Without it, contaminated water can flow backward into the main supply.

✅ We replaced the missing backflow meter and bypass
🔒 Added locking protection to help deter future theft
💧 Restored proper system function and safety

Unfortunately, theft of backflow components is becoming more common because of the materials inside. Taking simple preventative steps (like installing locks or cages) can save you from costly repairs and system downtime.

Don’t wait until your system is compromised. Regular inspections and security measures keep your property protected and compliant.

This home has a built-in firefighter 🔥💧

This is a residential fire sprinkler system, designed to activate automatically when heat from a fire is detected, helping control or even extinguish a fire before it spreads.

That gauge you see? It’s monitoring the system’s water pressure and it tells an important story:

✔️ Normal pressure = system ready

🚫 0 PSI = system is OFF and will not protect you

⚠️ Too high = excessive pressure that can damage or even burst pipes

Maintaining proper pressure is critical. Regular inspections give peace of mind ensure everything is working exactly how it should.

Not the kind of ‘occupancy’ your fire sprinkler system was designed for.

Looks like this little tenant 🐦 turned a fire alarm bell into a luxury nest. Prime location, great acoustics, zero rent.

Unfortunately… not exactly code-compliant.

🚫 Fire alarm devices need to stay clear and unobstructed

🔔 A blocked bell = delayed alerts during an emergency

🛠️ Regular inspections help catch things like this before it becomes a real hazard

Moral of the story: even nature needs a permit sometimes.

🚨Three fire sprinkler risers working around the clock to keep this building safe.

So what’s a riser?
A riser is the main vertical pipe that brings water from the supply into the building’s sprinkler system. It’s where key components like control valves, pressure gauges, and alarm devices are located. Basically the control center for each protected zone.

This building’s fire sprinkler system is divided into multiple risers each serving a specific area. This design helps isolate issues, maintain pressure, and ensure faster response in an emergency. The gauges, control valves, and alarm components you see here all work together to activate quickly when heat is detected.

But here’s the key: even the best system is only as reliable as its maintenance.

Regular fire sprinkler inspections aren’t just a good idea, they’re critical. Corrosion, valve tampering, pressure loss, or blocked lines can all compromise performance when it matters most.

🔥 A properly maintained system can control or even extinguish a fire before the fire department arrives.

During fire sprinkler inspections, we often find missing fire sprinkler coverage. In this project, we tapped into an existing fire sprinkler line to extend protection to a lower office space that previously had no coverage.
Fire sprinkler systems are designed based on layout, occupancy, and hazard level. When spaces are added, remodeled, or repurposed they often fall outside the original system design.
In the event of a fire, that unprotected area can allow flames to grow and spread before the system activates elsewhere.

🛠️ What we did:• Located and safely tied into the existing system• Extended piping down to the new area• Installed the correct sprinkler head for the spaceIf you’ve modified your space or added new rooms, don’t assume your fire sprinkler system still has you covered.

🚨 Fire Sprinkler Inspection in Action 🚨

Ever wondered how we make sure fire sprinkler systems actually work when it matters most? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look:

In this video, we’re operating the inspector’s test valve, a critical step during an annual and 5-year fire sprinkler inspection. By opening this valve, we simulate the flow of a fire single sprinkler head. This does two important things:

💧 Confirms water is flowing properly through the system
🔔 Verifies that the alarm devices (bell & panel) activate as expected

This test ensures:✔️ The alarm valve trips correctly✔️ Waterflow alarms are functional✔️ The system will respond in a real fire emergency

Fire sprinkler inspections aren’t just a requirement, they keep buildings and people safe.

Not all fire sprinkler heads are the same. 🔧🔥

In this area we added additional coverage and installed a 200° upright fire sprinkler head. Sprinkler heads are designed with different temperature ratings, and you can identify them by the color of the glass bulb inside the head.

Each color corresponds to the temperature at which the sprinkler will activate. In this case, the green bulb indicates a 200°F rating, which is used in areas where higher ambient temperatures may be present.

Choosing the correct temperature rating is critical to make sure the sprinkler activates when it should, not too early and not too late.

When adding coverage, repairing, or inspecting a system, make sure the correct sprinkler head and rating are being used. Your fire sprinkler system depends on it.

Behind the scenes of fire protection 👇

This is a commercial fire sprinkler riser; it’s the heart of a building’s life safety system. The riser has components that monitor water flow, system pressure, and activate alarms when a sprinkler head activates.

Every component you see plays a critical role in protecting lives and property.

Routine inspections are required by code and essential for making sure your system works in the event of a fire emergency. Valves must be operated, gauges checked, alarm devices tested, and spare heads properly stocked.

We provide professional commercial fire sprinkler inspections, testing, and repairs to keep your system compliant.

Schedule your annual or 5-year fire sprinkler inspection today.
