Meet the Machines is this Saturday! 🚒🚜🚧

Join us on September 19 for Meet the Machines at Hagan Community Park from 10 a.m. - Noon. This free, family event gives kids of all ages the chance to touch, climb on and explore exciting machines and unique vehicles. The event will also feature child friendly activities, music and more!

Last week, members of our District team were proud to support our fellow special district, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, at the unveiling of a new public access automated external defibrillator (AED) at the Metro Fire Headquarters.

We’re grateful for partnerships like these that bring local agencies together with a shared goal of creating safer, stronger communities. Congratulations to Metro Fire on another important step toward expanding access to lifesaving resources!

Last week, our team was recognized with the District of Distinction Platinum Accreditation at the California Special Districts Association Annual Conference by the Special District Leadership Foundation!

This accreditation recognizes the District at the highest level for our commitment to responsible governance and operational excellence and to leading the region through excellence and transparency in serving the needs of our diverse and growing community. We are one of only 15 districts that have earned this level and the ONLY recreation & park district to receive it!

Last week, the District celebrated Senior Citizen's Day with a week full of fun at the Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center! 🎉

With activities like the garden club, making tie-dye shirts, game day, a free informational presentation and a big celebratory lunch, the week was jam packed with exciting opportunities to celebrate our wonderful active adult community.
