Emergency Notice – Missing Child in Cleburne County

The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office and multiple first responders are actively searching in the area of County Road 65 and County Road 490 for a missing 8-year-old boy with autism.

Child’s Name: Tucker Barker
Description:
• White male
• 8 years old
• Dirty blond hair
• Blue eyes
• Wearing Mario underwear (blue)
• No shoes

If you see this child, call 911 immediately.

There is a large search effort underway by both ground and air. Many people have already reached out to help, thank you.

If you would like to assist, please go to the command post at Upper Cane Creek Church on County Road 65.

Please stay alert and vigilant in the area.

Ranburne Police Department would like to thank United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association for donating a Ballistic Mini Shield to the Department. This equipment will provide Ranburne Police officers with extra protection when executing search warrants and confronting armed suspects. It was a great honor to be able to go and read at the daycare today. Also went to the Ranburne Elementary School and read to the Pre K and Kindergarten classes. It is truly a great honor to be able to go and read to all the kids and see their smiling faces.

The Sheriff’s Department wants to make the public aware that we have been actively pursuing a person of interest for the past two days.

Residents are asked to remain alert and aware in the areas of County Roads 47, 25, and 19, as well as surrounding locations.

At this time, deputies are actively working in Cleburne County following a possible sighting. This is an ongoing investigation, and multiple agencies are involved.

If you see anything suspicious or have information that may be helpful, contact 911 or your local law enforcement agency immediately.

We appreciate the community’s cooperation and will provide updates as they become available.

🚨Update

The individual law enforcement is searching for has been identified as Danny Lee Cater. There remains a heavy law enforcement presence in the area of County Road 36 and County Road 15 as deputies continue the search.

If you see Danny Lee Carter or have any information about his whereabouts, do not approach him. For your safety, please call 911 immediately and report his location.

Residents may continue to notice increased patrol activity in the area. Citizens are encouraged to remain alert and avoid the area if possible.
