BOIL ORDER LIFTED: The Boil Order for the Village of Ramsey customers has been lifted. Samples have met IEPA standards satisfactorily. Thank you for your cooperation during this time.

REMINDER: Boil Order for the Village of Ramsey is still in effect until further notice. This includes the Bulk Water Station. Once the Boil Order has been lifted we will be sure to send out notification and post around town. We are hoping to have it lifted ASAP.

NOTICE: The Village of Ramsey has incorporated the following:

Coin Acceptance Policy
Adopted: September 3, 2024

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for accepting coins tendered for payment.

The Village of Ramsey will not accept more than twenty (20) coins in a payment of any debts or obligations to the village. The Village of Ramsey may waive this policy and accept more than twenty (20) coins, provided coins are wrapped in coin wrappers. Coins are wrapped in the following categories:

• Pennies $.50 roll wrapper (50 pennies)
• Nickels $2.00 roll wrapper (40 nickels)
• Dimes $5.00 roll wrapper (50 dimes)
• Quarters $10.00 roll wrapper (40 quarters)

Any shortages or overages in rolled coins will be adjusted to the customer’s account.

The Village of Ramsey does not supply coin wrappers to accommodate this type of transaction and encourages residents to contact their bank or office supply store to obtain coin rolls for the loose coins.

The Village of Ramsey requires that the coins be rolled and the name, address, and phone number of the payer written legibly on each wrapper.

NOTICE: After 10 years the bulk sale of water for the Village of Ramsey has been increased. The new rate will be $1.00 for approximately 50 gallons of water and will go into effect immediately. This decision was made at the August 5 board meeting, but due to how the metering equipment is calibrated, it couldn't be determined the exact amount until it was actually done. We are sorry for any inconveniences. - Ramsey Village Governing Board
