Yesterday marked the culmination of months of persistence, planning, and partnership—bringing together Ramapo College of New Jersey, the Bergen Highlands Ramsey Rotary Club, and Rotary International District 7490 to officially launch Ramapo College’s very first Rotaract Club, connecting students with a global network rooted in service, leadership, and impact.
At the Rotaract Club-led “Campus to Community – Meet the Rotarians” event, students and Rotarians connected in meaningful ways, sharing experiences, building relationships, and laying the foundation for future service and leadership.
Club officers were honored to receive the official charter certificate, presented by Rotary District Governor Cynthia Randina, recognizing the Rotaract Club of Ramapo College as a member of Rotary International. Our President Kyle Hasslinger presented officers with their very own Rotaract bell and gavel, a symbol of unity and tradition.
We were honored to celebrate with Rotary dignitaries and local leaders including Past District Governor John Cosgrove, Assistant Governor Jean Jadeavia, as well as Ramapo College President Cindy Jebb, and Trustee and fellow Rotarian Bill Dator.
Congratulations to the founding officers of the Rotaract Club - Nicolina Saccomanno, Madalyn Hawkswell, Kaitlin Franey and Mia Alvarez and Advisor Jane He - whose vision and dedication made this possible. We are excited for what’s ahead and to support these students on their Rotary journey, building a lasting legacy of impact, connection and service.
