PRESERVE RAMAPO

PRESERVE RAMAPO This is the OFFICIAL PRESERVE RAMAPO facebook site. For more information visit us at www.preserve-ra Preserve Ramapo was established in 2003.

We are a grassroots organization made up predominately of Ramapo residents whose primary concern is the continuing well-being of our town, Ramapo. The issues we are involved in vary ranging from the preservation of open space property to keeping a watchful eye of our precious school system. In addition to our presence at regular Town and Village meetings, we continually provide investigative repor

ting and analysis of both levels of government where the environment and our issues relating to quality of life are concerned. Current Happenings
In recent years we have increasingly investigated the decline of the public schools in our town. Schools have been so deprived of essential resources that their plight has become a national news story. We continue to investigate the manner in which our new housing has been developed by and for special interest groups that have established strong political ties to town administrators. In response to a town government controlled by builders and developers we sponsored a campaign to restore democracy through the creation of a political ward system in Ramapo. This struggle is ongoing. Ramapo government has failed its residents by not investing in the drainage, sewers and roads demanded by our rapidly growing population. In effect town officials have created a huge infrastructural debt that will have to be repaid by an increasingly marginal population. At the same time, it and has done nothing to protect our natural environment. How you can help
Join Us We are always looking for volunteers to help with our cause. Speaking with your friends and neighbors can help get the word out. Signing up on our Facebook and Twitter accounts and sharing the articles you read on our website via email and social media all help build the Preserve Ramapo community. Donate Filing lawsuits, funding campaigns, and investigating what public officials are up to are just some of the larger expenses we incur. We rely on all citizens of the town to support our efforts to make our town sustainable and a great place in which to live and raise our families.
