Juneteenth is right around the corner!

We’re pleased that the liberation stories of two couples with ties to Vance Birthplace State Historic Site - the Erwins and the Loves - are featured in this year’s Juneteeth toolkit.

The toolkit is a thoughtful resource produced by the NC African American Heritage Commission to share the history and importance of this American holiday. It includes a statewide community event calendar, so make sure you check it out as you make your plans for Juneteenth!
