Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey was happy to be a guest speaker at the 42nd Annual State Employees Association of North Carolina Convention in Greensboro!

Commissioner Causey joined other members of the NC Council of State along with SEANC members from 70 districts across the state. He thanked the hardworking state employees, both past and present, and highlighted the essential work our NCDOI employees do every day to serve and protect North Carolina consumers.

We’re proud of our NCDOI team members who are participating in this great event for Special Olympics NC! Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey is especially proud of our NCDOI Fraud Control Group for the continued efforts they make year round to raise money and awareness for this great cause!

We’re going OVER THE EDGE for Special Olympics! 🧗‍♂️

The countdown is on! On Saturday, September 26, members of our NCDOI team will take on an unforgettable challenge — rappelling 17 stories down One City Plaza in downtown Raleigh to support Special Olympics.

This year’s fearless team includes John Hoomani, Jessica Gibbs, Gregory Schwitzgebel, Brian Strickland, Jessica Walker, Andy Manis, and Joshua Falls.

We’re proud of our team for stepping up to support such an incredible cause, and we’re grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way. ❤️

While prevention is so important in the fight against Medicare fraud, prevention alone cannot stop all fraud. Finding or detecting issues and reporting them helps to stop bad actors.

Keep a record of the health care services you receive in a My Health Care Tracker from the SMP or through the free SMP Medicare Tracker app. Then compare that to what is billed on your Medicare statements. If things don't seem right, report it right away.
