Shoplifting reports in Raleigh are up 41 percent since 2019, from 2,261 to 3,190 a year. The busiest reporting hour is not midnight. It is 2 p.m.

There is good news, too: reports dipped 7 percent from 2024, in line with a national decline the National Retail Federation reported this year. Retailers that stay visible tend to stay on the right side of that trend.

Black Friday is five weeks out. If you manage a retail center or store, now is the time to lock in uniformed officers and parking-lot patrols for the holiday rush.

The typical workplace fraud runs for a full year before anyone notices.

The most common way fraud gets caught? A tip, in 43 percent of cases.

If something does not add up in your books, Renfrow & Associates investigates discreetly and documents findings your attorney can use. Source in the first comment.
