They met with legislators on the importance of preserving farmland, especially in Wake County. Together we are better! Yesterday, our Board of Directors met with Wake County Commissioners to discuss agriculture in Wake County. In a rapidly growing county, it is crucial to make sure agriculture always has a seat at the table. As the saying goes, "if you're not at the table, you're on the menu." We thank our elected officials for taking time out of their busy schedules to hear from local farmers, Wake Soil and Water Conservation District and NC Cooperative Extension- Wake County Center.

Wake County Farm Bureau President John Burt spoke with CBS 17 about the impact of what's happening in Iran on farmers. As farmers prepare for planting season, they are facing rising costs of fuel and fertilizer. On top of this, Central NC farmers are also dealing with a severe drought.
