Brassfield is celebrating International Dot Day on Tuesday, September 15! 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣

Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot, Dot Day is a worldwide celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration - and Ms. Chern is inviting our Brassfield families to join in!

Wear your dots to school on September 15 - polka dots, colorful dots, LOTS of dots. And Track 1, you may be tracked out, but you can still join the fun from home!

Daymaker Coffee + a Saturday morning play date? Sounds like a pretty good excuse to hang out. ☕️

Join us September 26 from 10 AM–12 PM for a casual PTA Play Date. Bring the fam, grab a coffee from the Daymaker Coffee Company , let the kids play, and get to know some other Brassfield families.

No meeting. No agenda. And we don’t even have to talk about PTA. Come with questions if you have them—or just come for the coffee and conversation.

Today is Instructional Assistant Appreciation Day! 💙

Our classrooms simply wouldn’t be the same without our amazing IAs. They support our students, help our teachers, jump in wherever they’re needed, and do countless little things each day that make a BIG difference.

Our PTA Hospitality team put together a little treat for each of our IAs today to remind them just how appreciated they are. 💛

Our PTA is helping our staff throw kindness like confetti! 🎉💙

Our Staff Shout-Out Board gives Brassfield staff a chance to recognize one another for showing the Brassfield Way - lending a helping hand, going the extra mile, supporting a teammate, or simply spreading a little kindness.

And we’re adding a little extra fun! Every shout-out will be entered into a drawing for a “Dinner on Us” gift basket and a gift card to Sassool. 🍽️🎉

Brassfield staff, keep those shout-outs coming - we love seeing you celebrate each other and we can’t wait to see who wins! 💙

🎨 PTA Reflections is now open!

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.” Brassfield students in K–5 are invited to create an original work inspired by the theme through visual art, writing, music, dance, spoken word and more!

📅 Submissions are due to Mrs. Chern by October 15
📧 [email protected]

Each submission must include:
• A completed Student Entry Form, filled out completely and legibly
• Signatures from both the student and a parent/guardian
• An original title for the artwork
• A 10–100 word Artist Statement describing the work and explaining how it relates to the theme

Students may enter one or more arts categories, and selected entries may advance for additional recognition at the state and national levels.

We can’t wait to see what our Brassfield artists create! 💙🐻

In honor of Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week, our PTA Hospitality team celebrated our Brassfield subs with thank-you cards and Sola Coffee gift cards - and we were able to surprise a few of them in person this week! ☕️
