Raleigh Police Protective Association

Raleigh Police Protective Association An advocacy group for Raleigh Police Officers associated with the Teamsters union. We have over 500 active Raleigh Police members.

The Raleigh Police Protective Association is a group of Raleigh Police Officers who banded together to advocate for the rights and protection of Raleigh Police Officers. As the membership swelled, the Union reached out to larger organizations who could help advocate for not only Raleigh Police Officers, but Police Officers through out the region and country. During November of 2006, the Teamster’s

Law Enforcement League approached our organization and asked us to consider becoming part of a larger group within their organization. On November 28th of 2006, members of our organization voted to become part of the Teamster’s Law Enforcement League. Our Membership stands at over 500 Raleigh Police Officers.

This is a common excuse when a prosecutor is not committed to keeping their citizens safe. This is because they are lazy, incompetent or committed to an agenda that is not focused on protecting victims. Sometimes this is a combination of all of the above.
Wake County will have a new DA. We are beginning screening candidates for Wake County District Attorney. We are hoping our next DA will be committed to public safety and victim rights.

Durham County District Attorney Satana Deberry is defending her office’s decision to reduce felony charges against Ryan Camacho to a misdemeanor in 2025, arguing that the available evidence did not support a more severe conviction.

We should expect substantial raises moving forward for RPD. We must not go backwards and have vacancies.

A pay raise in Raleigh’s budget for police officers is a meaningful step, but it won’t be enough on its own. | Opinion

RPPA leaders Trevor Hoyle, Sean Henry, Teamster BA Ken Feyen and myself met with City of Raleigh HR representatives to get more information regarding the proposed budget and pay structure. The meeting was positive and we believe this pay structure is taking us in the right direction to make Raleigh Police Department competitive in pay!!
