🏊 Is your new pool going green? 🌿

If you’re planning a build or a major renovation in California, big changes are officially here. As of January 1, 2026, California’s Title 24 Standards have shifted toward renewable energy.

Here’s how to stay compliant and avoid permitting delays:

✅ The New Rules for 2026:

No Gas-Only Heating: Traditional gas heaters can no longer be your primary heat source.

Renewable First: Your main heat must come from an electric heat pump or solar thermal system.

Gas as a "Booster": You can still have gas, but it must be a secondary system.

Solar-Ready Design: New builds must include the plumbing infrastructure for future solar panels.

Mandatory Covers: If you have a heater, a pool cover is now a requirement to trap energy.

💡 Why the shift? California is pushing for decarbonization. While the upfront setup might change, these systems are more energy-efficient and offer significantly lower operating costs over time. 📉

🛠 What you should do now:
