We feed our neighbors, teach self-sufficiency, and grow healthy foods by cultivating innovative approaches to end hunger. Our programs provide our neighbors with healthy food, teach nutrition on a budget, equip them with job training, and even show how to grow their own food. As our Food Shuttle Farm and community gardens fill with fresh produce, we're reminded that access to nutritious food begins with strong local food systems.

Did you know? Every week, the Food Shuttle rescues thousands of pounds of nutritious food that might otherwise go to waste and helps get it into the hands of neighbors who need it most.

Thanks to the support of our farms, retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and community partners, fresh produce, dairy, meat, and shelf-stable items are redirected to help nourish families across our community. Together, we are reducing food waste, strengthening our local food system, and building a more hunger-free future. Thank you to our partners for making this work possible.

It’s national pollinator week! Join us at the farm for family friendly fun celebrating the role pollinators play in keeping our world turning.

Activities include: Kids veggie painting table, educational bee table, herbal refreshments, tours and cooking demos.

Food drives make it easy for your friends, coworkers, neighbors, or community groups to give by picking up a few extra items at the grocery store or donating from their pantry. Summer initiatives are officially in full swing at Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

As schools let out for summer, many children lose access to the school meals they rely on throughout the year. At the same time, families often face increased grocery costs as growing kids need more meals, snacks, and nutritious foods at home.

That’s why our work doesn’t slow down when summer begins.
Summer Meals has launched, with volunteer opportunities now available to help deliver meals to local summer camps. Our Mobile Markets and Mobile Pantries are also preparing for a busy season of serving families across our community.

Every summer, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle steps in to help fill the gap and ensure children and families continue to have access to the food they need to thrive. And thanks to you, families can enjoy their summer knowing that food will be on the table.

What an amazing day - our team held a Gardens For Everyone Workshop this morning at the Franklinton Center at Bricks. Thirty-two raised beds were distributed, with more being requested. Thank you to Food Lion Feeds for your generous gift, which allowed this workshop and these beds to be placed in the community!
