The "Aleppo moment" was definitely disappointing. Even under the stress and scrutiny that live television interviews entail, Governor Johnson should have known better. But why do we seem to hold Trump and Clinton to a different standard when they make geographical or foreign policy gaffes? And why should we reject Gary Johnson over not immediately recognizing the name of a foreign capital and embrace Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, both of whom stand on reckless, hawkish principles that will perpetuate our constant state of congressionally unapproved war?

Clinton's gaffes and foreign policy failures haven't generated the mockery Johnson has received.
