September is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about prenatal alcohol exposure and recognize the individuals and families impacted by FASD.
This year, we are especially proud to share that Proof Alliance NC, together with The Arc of North Carolina and NC FASD Informed, helped create a proclamation officially recognizing September as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Awareness Month in North Carolina. The proclamation was signed by Governor Josh Stein!
Throughout September, we encourage North Carolinians to learn more, share accurate information, help prevent alcohol-exposed pregnancies, reduce stigma, and advocate for the services and supports needed by people with FASD and their families.
👠❤ Awareness matters. Education matters. Support matters. And prevention starts with all of us.
