Raleigh Rescue Mission Since 1961, Raleigh Rescue Mission has brought the hope of Jesus Christ to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and who are hurting in our community.

Raleigh Rescue Mission is a Christian organization that helps rebuild the lives of men, women, and children in our community who are currently experiencing situational homelessness by ministering to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. riencing situational homelessness by ministering to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. While at the Mission, the clients receive safe shelter; nourishing meals; access to counseling; and educational, vocational, and life skill classes. Those in recovery from substance use disorder have access to support meetings and sponsors. Children in our on-site Children's Development Center receive educational services as well as tutoring and access to professional therapeutic services to help them on their journey to recovery. At Raleigh Rescue Mission, lives are changed and hope is restored.

As evening settles over The Garden, a beautiful new chapter is beginning!

On September 1, women and children moved into their new home—a place where new routines, new skills, and new opportunities can take root. At The Garden, they will find healing, comfort, and hope as they build strong, stable futures and take meaningful steps toward independent living.

Together—with faith, compassion, and the support of our community—we are helping overcome situational homelessness and opening the door to hope for generations to come.

Make a difference—become a Jobs for Life mentor! 🌟

Encourage Phase 3 clients as they build confidence and prepare for employment. As a mentor, you’ll meet twice a week with a client for four weeks, once during class and once for encouragement and support. Female mentors will meet clients at The Garden, the Knightdale campus for women and children. Male mentors will meet male clients at the Downtown Campus in Raleigh.

Female mentors are especially needed September 14–October 9, but all are welcome. No special experience is required, and training is provided.

There’s a renewed sense of hope growing at our Downtown Campus.

As The Garden prepares to open in Knightdale next month, we’re getting ready to welcome and walk alongside even more men in Raleigh. Through the New Life Plan, our team will meet each man with Christ-centered care, practical support, and steady encouragement as he takes courageous steps toward stability, independence, and a brighter future.

We’re thankful for every staff member who serves with compassion, every supporter who gives from the heart, and every man who bravely chooses to begin again. It is a privilege to witness God at work through this community as hope is restored, dignity is renewed, and lives begin to change.

• Men’s underwear (boxer briefs): Sizes S - XXL (NEW and in original packaging)
• Men’s casual pants and jeans: Sizes S - XXL, Waist sizes 30 - 48, Length of 30 or 32 (new or gently used)
• Anti-perspirant, body wash, body lotion, razors, shave gel

Items may be ordered online and shipped to 314 Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. To drop-off items, please call for an appointment at 919-828-9014 so we can accept your donation.

Trauma can shape how a person sees the world, relates to others, and even understands themselves.

Many individuals who come to Raleigh Rescue Mission have experienced abuse, violence, loss, or other difficult circumstances that continue to affect their daily lives.

That’s why our staff are trained in trauma-informed care, responding with compassion, creating safe and consistent environments, and helping individuals take meaningful steps toward stability and healing.

What a summertime blessing!

Our clients were treated to a beautiful low-country seafood boil—complete with delicious shrimp, shared laughter, and a dining hall full of applause when the bucket was poured onto the table. We’re so grateful for the generous donor who provided not only a wonderful meal, but also a happy experience our clients and staff could enjoy together.

At our Downtown Campus in Raleigh, Raleigh Rescue Mission continues to offer meal bags with sandwiches and snacks to anyone who comes to our door—three times a day.

Often, a simple meal is the first step toward life-changing care through our Christ-centered New Life Plan, where clients build job-readiness skills, prepare resumes, practice interviews, and develop life skills for lasting independence.
