Sanderson High School Jesse O. Sanderson High School, more commonly called Sanderson High School (SHS), is a co-educationa Sanderson High School was founded in 1968 by Jessie O.

Sanderson. Sanderson High School is part of the Wake County Public School System. We are located in North Raleigh, an area known as MIDTOWN and home to many past, current and future Spartans. We are known for many things! Our Academy of Finance program (AOF), Sports, Arts, ROTC, Holly Days, raising money for the NC Food Bank and much, much more, but one thing that stands the test of time...We are known for our SPIRIT!!! Sanderson SPARTANS always stand together and we always STAY CLASSY along the way! Our Principal is amazing! Dr. Gretta Dula started leading our school in 2019. She loves the school, the staff and most importantly-the STUDENTS! Go SPARTANS!

The Sanderson Choir invites you to our Fall Choir Concert on Thursday, October 29 at 7:00 PM in the Sanderson High School Auditorium.

Registration is now open for Driver Education at Sanderson High School through Jordan Driving School! Complete your required 30 hours of classroom instruction right here on campus and take the next step toward earning your license.

Sanderson's Annual Food Drive back! 💙❤️
For more than 25 years, Sanderson has been making a difference through our annual Food Drive benefiting the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC. This year, we're aiming to raise $50,000 to provide 250,000 meals for families in need!

Get ready for a week of fun, school spirit, and celebrating your future! Join us each day as we explore college life, career readiness, and campus involvement.

⭐ Monday: College Gear Day Wear your favorite college or university t-shirt, hoodie, or gear to show where you hope to go or support your alma mater!

💼 Tuesday: Dress for Success Dress in business or professional attire and imagine yourself in your future career. First impressions matter!

🏛️ Wednesday: Rep Your Greek Organization or Club Celebrate campus involvement by wearing apparel from a Greek organization, honor society, student organization, or school club.

🏈 Thursday: College Tailgate / Game Day Show your game day spirit by wearing sports jerseys, team colors, or your favorite college athletic gear.

🎓 Friday: College Gear Day + Guess the Graduate Finish the week strong by wearing college gear and participating in our Guess the Graduate challenge. Can you identify staff members from their graduation photos? 👀
