Today, Secretary Leslie Dismukes had the honor of presenting Eddie Caldwell, longtime Executive Director of the NC Sheriffs' Association, with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine on behalf of Governor Josh Stein.

After decades of dedicated service to North Carolina’s law enforcement community, Eddie Caldwell is beginning a well-earned retirement. Throughout his career, he's been a steadfast advocate and a trusted partner in strengthening collaboration between local jails and the state's correctional system.
