Rahway High School JAG representing Rahway High School's finest!

🎓✨ EXCELLENCE TAKES MANY FORMS.

Congratulations to Rahway JAG Leaders Justin Gibson ( #1 Valedictorian), Jalissa Rayo-Celis ( #2 Salutatorian), and Nyasia Wynn ( #5) for earning spots in the Top 10 of the Rahway High School Class of 2026!

While we are incredibly proud of their academic achievements, we are even more proud of the young leaders they have become.

At Rahway JAG, success is not measured by GPA alone. It is measured by growth, leadership, service, resilience, character, and the impact our students have on those around them. Justin, Jalissa, and Nyasia have used their gifts and talents not only to excel in the classroom, but also to strengthen their school, serve their community, and help others along the way.

Their accomplishments are a reminder that when young people are challenged, supported, and given opportunities to lead, amazing things can happen.

Congratulations, Justin, Jalissa, and Nyasia. Thank you for representing Rahway JAG, Rahway High School, and our community with excellence. The future is bright because of leaders like you. ❤️🖤

On June 3, 2026, Rahway High School welcomed the incoming freshman class and their families for the annual Freshman Orientation. The evening began with a presentation by Principal Dr. Panichi, who outlined the foundational expectations that guide the RHS community. Dr. Panichi shared critical information regarding attendance and grading policies, providing families with a clear roadmap for academic success and ensuring everyone feels prepared for the transition this fall.

Following the presentation, incoming freshmen toured the building to familiarize themselves with the school layout. During these tours, students met with club and athletic advisors to learn about the various extracurricular opportunities available at RHS. This experience provided our newest students with a practical preview of high school life and highlighted the many ways they can get involved in the school community.

Our ninth grade students recently attended a deeply moving and impactful presentation called "Ryan's Story," delivered by guest speaker John Halligan. Sharing his perspective as a father, Mr. Halligan brought a powerful, personal, and unforgettable voice to the critical issue of bullying prevention. The presentation provided students with vital insights into recognizing early warning signs, equipping them with the awareness needed to identify when a peer might be struggling or in distress.

The discussion went far beyond typical school assemblies by exploring the serious, lasting consequences of bullying, both immediately and over the long term. Mr. Halligan emphasized that the damage is never isolated, illustrating the profound ripple effects that impact not only the victims but also their families, friends, and even those engaging in the bullying behavior itself. By opening up this honest dialogue, the event aimed to foster greater empathy, accountability, and kindness within our school community, reminding everyone of the power our words and actions hold.
