Good evening North Raeford,
Effective 0800, 3 May (tomorrow morning) the NC burn ban will be lifted for Hoke County. During the ban, we received only 2 calls in our area for burning. Great Job!!! Please continue to be safe, and if you burn, monitor your fire.

Good evening!! So far, y'all been great North Raeford!! Unfortunately, the burn ban is still active. Stay vigilant and hopefully we'll get some good rain soon!!! Stay safe!!

Good evening. In addition to the state Burn Ban, we are now in a County Burn Ban. This means zero burning outdoors unless it's a grill. If grilling please practice safe methods, 10' away from structures and have a means of extinguishing close by. Be safe Everyone!!

As expected, the burn ban will continue through next week. Please continue to exercise restraint in burning. Any loose embers can make a very bad situation very quickly. Stay safe North Raeford!!!

Good afternoon!

From the North Carolina Forest Service: “As of April 6, 2026, the state-issued ban on open burning remains in effect for all 100 counties. The ban was enacted Saturday, March 28 due to hazardous forest fire conditions.
The ban prohibits outdoor burning of any kind, anywhere in the state, until further notice.”

I don’t expect it to be lifted anytime soon. Despite yesterday's rain, little to no rain is expected over the next 7-10 days.

AT 6 p.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 28, a state wide burn ban has been placed until further notice.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and has canceled all burning permits statewide, effective 6 p.m. until further notice.
