🎓💻 Congratulations to the graduates of the City of Racine’s Digital Connectivity and Navigators Program!

Through this program, 460 eligible individuals and households received laptops, digital skills training, and technical support to help them navigate the digital world with confidence.

Following the graduation celebration, community members gathered at the Racine Public Library for a public Digital Inclusion Week event featuring presentations, community resources, and opportunities to connect.

Thank you to our community partners and trainers for helping bridge the digital divide and build a more connected Racine!

Today, we honor Indigenous People's Day in the City of Racine. The Firekeeper statue looking East at Festival Hall is a reminder that we are on land taken from indigenous people. To honor those who came before us, we must remember our history and that most of us and our ancestors were immigrants who came to Racine.

🌳🍂 Racine, help grow our urban tree canopy!
The City of Racine is hosting its final Adopt-A-Tree event of the fall on Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Eligible City of Racine residents can adopt a tree to plant on their property.

Eligibility: 🌱
• City of Racine residents only
• One tree per property
• Must live within the highlighted eligible area (fill out form to view)

Another Clean Sweep is in the books! Last week, City of Racine employees came together on Racine Street to help clean up and improve the neighborhood.

Clean Sweep gives City employees the opportunity to work directly in our neighborhoods and make an immediate, visible difference.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make the fifth Clean Sweep a success! We’re proud to continue working together to make Racine a cleaner, safer, and stronger community.

• Local organizations sharing community resources and services
• Opportunities to learn about digital resources and continued learning

The shooting that took place this weekend is a terrible, preventable, tragedy. The lives of these two young men, their friends, and family are now forever changed. One life is lost and his potential to do amazing things in this world will never be known. The other has made a decision that he can't take back and the consequences for that will follow with him for the rest of his life. This did not have to be the trajectory of their lives. Their families should not have to mourn what could have been. It is incumbent on us, as a community, to demand an end to gun violence. To make sure our kids don't have access to weapons and that all of us take communal responsibility for supporting our kids to make sure they have the future they deserve.
