Today we celebrated 3 Acres by Marci and John with their grand opening and ribbon cutting. This restaurant, banquet, and event venue was created with one goal in mind--to create a place where the community can gather, eat, and celebrate.

John 23 Educational Center is a free afterschool program that was established in 2009 to serve kids grades 4-12. It was created to address slipping grades due to competing priorities. Their mission is free homework help, 1:1 tutoring, Read to Succeed, daily enrichment, and a meal once a week. On Thursday, RAMAC attended the ribbon cutting of John 23 Educational Center's new location.

They have a registry of items that will help make the new center welcoming, functional, and ready for the students. Want to help? You can purchase an item from their registry or make a monetary donation to support.

RAMAC and Youth Apprenticeship work together. The Racine business community understands that the future workforce are the kids still in school. Exposing them to the workforce early is important for the future.

Sonnenberg Schools, a private nonprofit K-12 school for neurodiverse learners, opened in 2023. Their mission at Sonnenberg Schools is to set a new standard in special education. They guide students with disabilities through their entire educational journey by providing exceptional, student-centered learning that advances academic achievement, enhances emotional regulation, and prepares students for a future aligned with their individual strengths.

Its first location, the Early Foundations Campus (2015 Franklin Street), provides the youngest learners with a specialized environment focused on building strong academic, social-emotional, and developmental foundations.

On August 27th, Sonnenberg Schools had a grand opening and ribbon cutting for their second campus, Academics and Life Skills Campus (1722 W. 6th Street). This is an environment specifically designed to support continued academic growth, independence, and success.
