π Racine Unified graduating seniors: Your ideas could become part of history.
Over the past several weeks, Mayor Cory Mason has been visiting Racine Unified high schools to encourage students to participate in the City of Racine's America 250 Scholarship Essay Contest.
As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, graduating RUSD seniors are invited to reflect on the future and answer one important question:
What would you like to see in the next 50 years to help America become "a more perfect union"?
Submit an essay of up to 1,000 words to [email protected] by June 6, 2026.
Two graduating seniors from Racine Unified School District will each receive a $2,500 scholarship, and their winning essays will be read during Racine's America 250 celebration before being placed in the community time capsule for future generations to discover.
We know Racine's students have thoughtful ideas, fresh perspectives, and big dreams for the future. This is your chance to share them and leave your mark on history.
