If you are experiencing a discoloration in water, City Workers flushed a few hydrants late this afternoon, it can temporarily stir up naturally occurring sediment and minerals in the water lines. it is typically not harmful and should clear up as fresh water moves through the system.
Try Running cold water from a faucet for several minutes until it clears.

INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS

The City of Qulin is now accepting sealed bids for the pumping, hauling, and proper disposal of wastewater sludge from the City of Qulin Wastewater Treatment Facility.

All bidders must be properly licensed and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation and disposal of wastewater sludge.

Sealed bids will be accepted at Qulin City Hall during normal business hours until 4:00 PM Monday August 10, 2026.
Bids will be opened and reviewed by the Board of Aldermen at a scheduled meeting.

The City of Qulin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.

Trash Service Transition Update

You will notice that the new trash carts and dumpsters have started being delivered.

Residential & Commercial Cart Customers:Please begin using your new cart immediately and leave your Republic Services cart by the roadway so it can be collected.

Dumpster Customers:Republic Services will service your dumpster as normal tomorrow. After that pickup, please refrain from using the Republic dumpster until it has been removed. If you have already received your new dumpster, please begin using it now.

Additional Carts:If you would like to request a second cart, you may begin calling City Hall on Wednesday, July 15.

To help our crews work efficiently, additional carts will generally be delivered the day after your request is received. The exception is Thursday—if you call by noon on Thursday, your cart will be delivered by the end of the day.

Have not received your first cart yet?
Please contact City Hall so we can make sure you are added to the delivery list.

Friendly Reminder – Trash Service Change

The City of Qulin will be transitioning to a new trash service provider, Henson Trash Service.

Please place ALL Republic Services trash carts at the curb as usual on Tuesday, July 14th. Any Republic carts that are not placed at the curb may be retrieved from the property by a Republic Services representative.

After your trash is collected, Republic Services will remove their carts. Henson Trash Service will begin delivering new carts later that day or on Wednesday.

Please note: All residential customers will receive one trash cart to start. If you pay for 2 and or would like an additional cart, please contact the City Hall at 573-850-4099 anytime AFTER July 15th.

This Notice has also been placed on the backside of the utility bills.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO QULIN RESIDENTS

The City of Qulin will be changing trash service providers. The transition to our new trash company is scheduled to begin July 14, 2026.

Please have all Republic Services trash cans placed by the roadside so they can be collected during the changeover process.

New trash cans will be delivered on July 15, 2026.

To help us maintain accurate inventory records, each residence will be issued one trash cart. If your household requires additional carts, please contact City Hall at 573-850-4099 to make arrangements AFTER JULY 15, 2026

We are pleased to inform residents that trash pickup service will continue to be on Tuesdays, with no change to your regular collection day.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

Due to the recent storm, several properties have experienced fallen trees, limbs, and other storm-related debris.

Residents are reminded that tree and storm debris located on private property is the responsibility of the property owner. At this time, the City of Qulin will not be providing pickup or removal of tree debris from private property.

Please do not set debris out by the street. Property owners are encouraged to make arrangements to remove and properly dispose of any debris located on their property.
